====Hedron====
In this game we'll be building a world based on a simple starting point. Parts of the content may be used for the world of another game being created, known as HedronMUD, a text-based multiplayer role-playing game. Have fun!
====Rules====
~-Prior to the first turn, players should identify/create the desired indexes through agreed-upon means.
~-Players should create an author page for their character. While this game is typically done in a role-play fashion where scholars' personalities and background may significantly impact their work, the element of role-play is not as critical here and you should enjoy the writing and creation first and foremost.
~-On the first turn, each player writes their first entry in any index they desire. You come up with the name of the entry, and you write 100-200 words or so on the subject. At the end of the article, you sign the name of the scholar you're working on, and make two citations to other entries in the encyclopedia. These entries will be phantoms - their names exist, but their content will get filled in only on a later turn. The phantom link must also be created on the index page.
~-On the second and subsequent turns, players must only fill in phantom entries, although they may fill them in from any index. Citations on all future turns must include one existing entry, and two phantoms (existing or otherwise). Only if there are no available phantoms (through dibs and prior citation) can a player create a new entry. Remember, your peers are honest scholars. No matter how strained their interpretations are, their FACTS are as accurate as historical research can make them. So if you cite an entry, you have to treat its factual content as true! (Although you can argue against the interpretation and may introduce new facts to shade the interpretation).
~-You may cite entries you have created, but should try to cite entries other players created first, particularly in the early turns.
~-You may not write phantom entries you have created unless the other players agree to it. This is to allow others the opportunity to explore your ideas.
~-A player can call dibs on any one phantom entry. No player may have dibs on more than one entry at a time. Dibs should generally be called at the beginning or end of a turn before/after any writing by a player has begun.
~-Play will commence until a sunset is declared, at which time no new entries may be created and each turn players must complete phantom entries. The game ends when all phantom entries have been completed.

==Thematic Starting Idea==
The starting theme is high medieval fantasy but if the game takes a different direction, the enjoyment and writing of the players will take precedence. Some initial thoughts are that the world has many faces (hence the Hedron reference). These faces allow mortals to ascend into immortality, which then has Tiers of power. Immortals will be attempting to ascend the Tiers for whatever reason. Elements focused on for development to ascend could be Spiritual, Mental, and Physical. There may be strong cooperative themes intermingled with secrecy, intrigue, and mystery.
==Starting Statement==
You are all Grand Ascendants performing a First Reckoning of the world Huydren as the Tome of Eternal Transversion declares for the Rite of the Seventh Ascendance.
