In recent time legends have arisen of the famed
Praxian Empire known for its unrivaled ability to forge exquisite and devastating weaponry. The most famed and feared of these weapons was the
spiritblade, one of which is currently wielded by
Doralun Severit,
Grand Ascendant of the Nameless Face. How this blade came to be in his possession is unknown, but legends tell of twelve blades in total of which
Orduus was the third created. According to tales the
Praxian Empire was home to an all female race know only as the
Marked Satyr. The empire itself sat deep in the
Artune Sea and was comprised of many islands bridged together to surround the forge at
Kordas Knuckles. The largest of all the islands,
Almiriata housed the throne of the greatest weapons smith of the time
Corinthiala Amaranthinos. It is said that the great Queen smith
Corinthiala could forge bows that fired arrows that would slice through time and never missed their mark. Her blades were so sharp they would slice clean through a
Rothgars bone. Following the creation of the twelfth
spiritblade the great Queen feared her people had gone too far and created weapons none could control.
Corinthiala knew that these blades would bring about the destruction of all realms if one race possessed them all. Worn scrolls found in a sealed chest at the bottom of the
Artune Sea indicate that Corinthiala gathered the twelve
spiritblades into the forge at
Kordas Knuckles hoping to destroy them but the power was too great. A great explosion occurred within the forge and the entirety of the
Praxian Empire sunk to the bottom of the Sea. To date only two of the great
spiritblades,
Olugo and the earlier mentioned
Orduus, have been recovered.
